What I'm Loving Lately

Here are a few things I'm loving lately that you totally should know about.

Y,all. This oil is a MUST-HAVE if you're a mama. Or if you hate the smell of DiGize. It's so gentle on baby tummies but really does work when it comes to gas, spit up, and other stomach pains. I've been using it on my 3 month old since she was born and it has helped keep her happy when I've had too much dairy or gluten since she's breastfed. I can't tell you how much I wish I had this oil with my first-born. It truly has saved us from many fussy nights!

Here's a quick video of how I use TummyGize!

Again, these are a must-have for you mamas out there! Did you know baby wipes contain so many harsh toxic chemicals that are too difficult for our babies to process? I think I realized how severe it was when my oldest broke out in a chemical reaction to the baby wipes I was using once... and they were supposed to be "chemical-free, all-natural" wipes. Yeah right. You can read more about my story here. Let's just say, we never run out of these wipes! I also like to use them as makeup remover wipes and to clean toys, tables, and highchairs when we're out and about!

If you've been apart of Plant + Prune or followed me for any sort of time, you know I have a serious love for Valor. It's an oil that has actually changed my life. As a postpartum mama, I need all the emotional support I can get. Valor is one that instantly stops panicky feelings for me and it helped keep my blood pressure low while I was pregnant. I recently got the roll on version of Valor and it is INCREDIBLE. I don't think I'll ever make my own again because it's just that good.

I am totally not a lipstick girl. Wish I was, but I'm not. However... the Savvy lipsticks are actually awesome! I have Untamed, which is the most gorgeous color ever, and I get so many compliments on it when I wear it. It's fancy enough for date night but causal enough for running errands too. I love how smooth it is and that it doesn't dry out my lips. Plus, ZERO harsh chemicals so when my oldest gets ahold of my makeup bag, I don't have to worry.

Okay, is this the cutest diffuser ever or what? I am obsessed! I got this diffuser after convention a few weeks ago and we love it so much. It's a sound machine, diffuser, and night light all in one. I was impressed with the sound machine options too. My oldest loves tickling Feather's feet and watching the diffuser turn on. It's one that every kiddo needs since it runs for 10 hours, helping them sleep longer and sounder. And all the mamas said AMEN!

Happy Thursday!

10 Supplies You Need For Your Oils

Once you have your oils, the possibilities are endless.

You've got your kit and now you want to make all the things! This might be the most fun part about being oily... the possibilities are endless when it comes to DIY! Here is a list of oily supplies I highly recommend you ordering:

As you apply essential oils topically, you'll want a carrier oil to use with them. My favorite is coconut oil, but people also use Jojoba, Grapeseed, Hemp, Olive, etc.
Just add about 1 teaspoon per 1-2 drops of essential oil and massage into skin.

When you're making roller bottles you'll need a liquid carrier oil. I like fractionated for this purpose.

Water cups or bottles are important if you're going to be add Vitality oils to your water. We don't want to be drinking from any plastic (even if you're not using oils) so make sure to find a stainless steel or glass bottle to take everywhere with you!

And on that same note, if you like to drink with straws, get yourself some stainless steel straws. The environment will thank you! PLUS, you'll be staying away from plastic, which is always good.

Using your oils in a bath is a great and relaxing way to utilize those oils! Add 5-8 drops of your preferred oil to a cup of Epsom Salts - add to bath and enjoy!

These are great for adding your oils to take internally.

These are perfect for your every day rollers. I usually add about 30 drops of essential oil first and then fill the rest with a carrier oil like fractionated coconut oil.

This is an amazing base for any of your homemade soaps! I love adding a squeeze of this to my mop bucket before scrubbing the floors or to my cleaning regime in the bathrooms.

Making sprays is super fun with oils because you can come up with your own scent. I use this size for anything hair related or for a travel-size Thieves Household Cleaner.

Don't keep your Thieves Household Cleaner in your starter kit. Get that bad boy out and start using it! These bottles hold 16 ounces of water so add some cleaner concentrate to it and get to cleaning!
